Job Description

We are seeking a Test Room Maintenance Engineer to join a client in Fort Worth. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The role is 100% onsite.

This role will support and maintain a stable, reliable AI GPU board testing environment for our AI server systems. This role is responsible for ensuring all AC/LC (Air Cooling / Liquid Cooling) systems operate effectively to maintain a controlled environment that enables accurate and efficient testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and oversee AI GPU board testing rooms, ensuring continuous operation and environmental stability.
  • Monitor and adjust AC/LC systems to keep temperature, humidity, and airflow within required specifications.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of environmental control equipment.
  • Partner with test engineering teams to ensure optimal cooling performance and test room readiness.
  • Diagnose and resolve system failures, alarms, and environmental deviations quickly and effectively.
  • Document all maintenance activities, updating logs, records, and reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with facility teams, test engineers, and vendors to ensure high system uptime and reliability.

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar role within a testing, research, data center, or manufacturing environment.

Required Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of HVAC principles, including temperature control, airflow, and cooling fundamentals.
  • Ability to perform routine equipment checks, read gauges/meters, and monitor environmental parameters.
  • Basic knowledge of AC/LC systems or willingness to learn through on-the-job training.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, multimeters) for inspection and maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to follow SOPs, safety protocols, and technical procedures.
  • Basic computer skills for updating logs and using monitoring dashboards.
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset, including recognizing abnormal readings, unusual sounds, or environmental deviations.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with liquid cooling systems, coolant loops, pumps, or thermal management concepts.
  • Experience in data centers, server test labs, or electronics manufacturing (coursework or internship acceptable).
  • Knowledge of GPU servers, AI hardware, or computer components.
  • Experience using monitoring software, facility dashboards, or environmental control tools.
  • Ability to read simple technical diagrams, equipment labels, or wiring schematics.
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance practices and equipment reliability fundamentals.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for working with technicians, engineers, and facility personnel.
